MUFF SF X Romy and Michele
#MUFFxSF - Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (July 9, 2015)
The first San Francisco MUFF Society screening was a huge success, and like, totally cool.
One of the most fun things was our wildly successful photobooth sponsored by Tomfoolery SF. You can see more photos in our album on our Facebook page here!
Our raffle was sponsored by some of our FAVORITE local businesses. San Franpsycho donated two bad ass t-shirts (for both the men and the ladies) and a Giants fan-friendly water bottle. Rare Device donated a $40 gift card to their beautiful store. Being a part of the San Francisco community is hugely important to us, and having such iconic businesses supporting our event was humbling!
And then the real fun of the night was celebrating our mini MUFF filmmaker Maggie Levin. Her short film LovesIck opened up the night, and received so much praise from the audience. A quirky romantic comedy with a strong voice, and a perfect way to kick off our monthly screening series.
About half of our audience hadn’t seen Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, and the other half were long-time fans. Being in a crowd of people enjoying the film for the first time and some for, I’m sure, the HUNDREDTH time was…simply put…THE BEST.
With such a strong start, we can’t wait to see what becomes of our upcoming Mean Girls event on August 6th!!
