MUFF TO X Josie and the Pussycats
#MUFFxTO - Josie and the Pussycats (June 17, 2015)
We can't believe it's already been a week since we all gathered together at the Carlton to celebrate crash positions, clapping when you know you're happy, and teeny-tiny halter tops. So many halter tops. What are we talking about?
JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, OF COURSE! This should be everyone's favourite movie but, hey, not everyone has as good tastes as we do.
Our new photobooth at the Carlton was better than ever–it's amazing what a frame can do. And we even got crafty and made a fancy banner, ouuu. But the real winner was our Josie McCoy bus pass. We took a whole bunch of bus pass pictures, mostly to make the people who missed out feel like crap. Do ya? Good.
This screening was made extra special by the most AMAZING prize packs ever, lovingly donated by The Candy Bar, Coal Miner's Daughter, Jordan de Ruiter Clothing, and Dine Alone Records. We had ourselves a little trivia contest and Siân might've tried too hard to make the questions tricky (she has this fear of being laughed at if they're too simple), but one lucky gal was a champ and knew ALLLLLLLL the answers.
But even more important than prizes, we screened our first ever Mini MUFF short film. Mini MUFF is our new initiative to introduce our audiences to a rad locally made, woman-fronted short film at every screening. We were so thrilled to share BT Production's She Sings For Me. You can read more about the director and actress here!
All in all, it was a great evening filled with rockin' music. Speaking of, check out our #MUFFMix v.06. We say this every screening, but this volume might be our fave. Check out some pictures from the night below and the rest on our FB page.
