MUFF x BITS: Farhope Tower
We’ve mentioned this across social media and we also showed the trailer and gave away tickets at our last screening, but maybe you still haven’t heard: The MUFF Society is the official Community Sponsor of Blood In The Snow Canadian Film Festival’s opening film Farhope Tower.
A team of Paranormal Investigators venture into the infamous Farhope Building with the dreams of landing a TV deal, but get more than they bargained for when they come up against the most powerful spirits they have ever faced. Once inside the building, the spirits begin manipulating the team members, and the higher they climb the more everything spirals out of control.
Blood In The Snow (affectionately known as “BITS”) is all about celebrating Canadian horror films. MUFF is all about celebrating women in film. With Farhope Tower, we are able to celebrate both! Farhope Tower is a Canadian horror thriller directed by (and also starring!) the badass and super talented April Mullen. Definitely #MUFFApproved.
April Mullen has a number of impressive producing, directing, writing, and acting credits to her name, and is the youngest person and first female to ever direct a live action stereoscopic 3D Feature Film (Dead Before Dawn 3D). She is also the co-founder of WANGO Films.
The screening will take place NOVEMBER 27th 7PM at Carlton Cinema in Toronto. This will be the CANADIAN PREMIERE of Farhope Tower, guys! You can be the first people in all of Canada to lay your eyes on this beauty (and also the first people in Canada to poop your pants in fear, too). Don’t wait to get your tickets!
How could this get even better? OH YEAH, because they’re pairing it with the short film Chiral, which is also directed by a woman: Karen Lam. I guess that makes our short film program, Mini MUFF, like an unofficial Community Sponsor, right?
Check out the Blood In The Snow website to see their entire line-up for the weekend!
