MUFF IS DOING WHEN HARRY MET SALLY! Nora Ephron penned the story of two friends, Sally Albright and Harry Burns, who met on one very long drive from Chicago to New York. The two have an immediately strong connection even though Sally seems to hate Harry almost instantly. In the coming years, they continue to run into each other at bookstores or airports, and slowly form an extremely deep and meaningful (although occasionally murky) friendship. Through all their ups and downs, one thing can be certain: that no one will ever want that wagon wheel coffee table.
This quirky, hilarious, and almost aggressively adorable movie is going to be so much fun to watch with an audience because with so much wit sewn into almost every line, it is endlessly quotable. Basically, you have to come, because… WE’RE GONNA BE 40! (In 39 years.)
Join us in the lobby ahead of time for photobooth fun, limited-edition buttons for sale, and many a MUFFtail to be consumed (lack of paprikash not guaranteed). As always, we will be screening an amazing local short film as part of our Mini MUFF programming. This month our selection is Flower Girl, written and directed by Dominique van Olm.
Note: All Sheldons more than welcome.
A big thank you to our MUFF Friends & sponsors of this event: Carlton Cinema, Cinefilles, The Beguiling, The Candy Bar, and Coal Miner’s Daughter. Check back closer to the event for more sponsor announcements.
