MUFFdates: New FB Groups!

Something that has been a constant topic of conversation amongst the MUFF Society producers has been how we can make our community more dynamic and interactive. We've loved getting to meet new friends every month who want to celebrate women in film with us, but we want more, dammit! More! 

And so we have decided to introduce new Facebook Groups. Tadah!

What's a Group, you ask? Don't we already have an FB group, you say? Should I follow both? Don't worry, friends. Social media is pretty weird sometimes and we're just trying to make it as magical as possible. Here's the low-down: 

We currently have a Facebook Page. It's pretty rad and we love it a lot, but it's also getting crowded with our three branches (and hopefully more soon!) It can also be hard to maximize post visibility to our followers, which means you may be missing out on important information! 

This is where the new Groups come in. Each branch (Toronto, NYC, and SF) will have their own Group to manage. The Groups are run by the local Producers, who act as Admins and make a bulk of the posts. When you're part off a MUFF Group, you'll get updates to city-specific MUFF events and other things of interest around the city. It will also give our community a chance to get to know the Producers and MUFFians, as well as more actively participate in the MUFF community.

Our Page will still be there and still be awesome. You can get branch-specific info through the Page, just less of it. There will also be a focus on bigger-picture items (feminism in the film industry at large) and the promotion and curation of our Blog. 

So you can follow our Page for topical #womeninfilm news, and #MUFFapproved films and join a Group to get to know your local MUFF community. Basically, it's a win-win-win all around. And we all know Jesus loves winners. So what are you waiting for? Join our local MUFF Group!
