MUFFTix: The Intervention
Siân here. We make most of our news blasts using the lovely "we" because it's all a team effort here at MUFF but one, I was super jealous of Richelle always saying that in her event recaps and two, I'm beyond excited about this post and NEED (yes, need) to talk about it in the first person.
So our next screening is pretty exciting as it is PRIDE MONTH (yassssss). We are celebrating with Inside Out and co-presenting But I'm A Cheerleader at 9:00PM on Wednesday, June 15th at Carlton Cinema! Go ahead and RSVP already. And if you were thinking to yourself, "Damn I could use some more Clea DuVall, Natasha Lyonne, and Melanie Lynskey in my life," well, Inside Out has you covered because they are also screening Clea Duvall's directorial debut The Intervention, which also stars DuVall along with Lyonne and Lynskey.
I had a chance to see this at Sundance and it was one of the highlights of the festival for me. I laughed, cried, marvelled at corn on the cob, and wished I had muffins from scratch. I cannot recommend this film enough. That's why I am SO FUCKING EXCITED that we are giving away some tickets. I HOPE YOU ARE AS ALL-CAPS EXCITED AS I AM. And even if you don't win, buy a ticket. DO IT.
