MUFF x Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains

Ladiessss and gentlemennnnn, our Fabulous Stains screening! It seems like only last week we all gathered at the Carlton to rock out. Wait, maybe it was. Are you the same where the closer it gets to the holidays, the less you're able to track time?

In any case, December 7th will go down in history as the nights the skunks conquered. This screening was extra special for two reasons: We teamed up with our awesome friends Musicale to co-present. (You should definitely check out their other events.) And we also had a vendor pop-up featuring local female artisans, care of our equally amazing friends Heart On! Oh wait, there's a third: Lisa dressed up and it was fucking epic.

As always, we had buttons, because you can never have too many buttons. And just like at our Legally Blonde screening we had a limited edition poster from a local female artist, this one designed by the incredibly talented Elyssa Ray. Art featuring badass women made by badass women: can you think of anything better?

Lookit all of these amazing, gorgeous, stunning, kickass things! Basically we wanted them all. ALLLLLLL. Heart On teamed us up with local artists Shelby McLeodAdria Mirabelli, and Emily Dynes

See, told you Lisa dressed up. How badass is that?! (Also, she isn't writing this herself in the third person, promise.)

Usually we screen short films as part of #miniMUFF but since LAGTFS is all about the music, we featured three music videos from local women directors. You can learn more about them and their work on the MUFF Blog: Emma Higgins, Thea Holatz, and Natalie Rae Robison.

As always, we have our amazing sponsors and pals to thank for helping make the screening super special and awesome. Without them, our raffle prizes would just be whatever we could find under our couches, which would be grim.

We hope everyone has a super-duper happy holiday season. If your idea of holiday cheer is some angry-a-f girl rock music, listen to our LAGTFS playlist: #MUFFMix v.23. We'll be back in the new year on January 19th with our second Reel Girl Talk. We are screening Girlfight and couldn't be more excited. Keep an eye on the FB EVENT PAGE for more info!
