Film: The Makeover
This month MUFF is doing something a little different with mini MUFF. Not only do we have SIX short films to show you, but we’ve also expanded our usual local fare to include selections from every corner of Canada! Teaming up with Etheria Film Night for this event, we used our combined programming expertise to find the darkest, creepiest, and bloodiest in Canadian women-directed horror.
Fourth up: The Makeover is blood splattered horror-comedy that knows relationships can be messy. Sometimes a new coat of paint is all that's needed to fix it.
The Makeover has screened at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Blood In The Snow Canadian Film Festival, and Atlanta Horror Festival, where it won Best Short Film.
Filmmaker Dara Jade Moats lives and loves in Montreal. Before making her directorial debut with The Makeover, she previously wrote and produced the short film Adventure Girls III, which won the Best Blood Bath award at the Viscera Film Festival in Vancouver, Canada.
