Did you ever see that "Twilight Zone" where the guy signed a contract and they cut out his tongue and put it in a jar and it wouldn't die, it just grew and pulsated and gave birth to baby tongues? That was pretty cool, but instead of screening that we’ll be screening Wayne’s World.

“Ex-squeeze me? Uh, baking powder? Why Wayne’s World? Isn’t that about two dudes?” we hear you say. Well, first of all, aren’t you forgetting about the mega-talented Tia Carrere? Not only is her character Cassandra a rising star on her way to success, but Carrere actually recorded the vocals for every song that Crucial Taunt plays in the film too. And second, Wayne’s World was directed by none other than Penelope Spheeris, who has directed a number of acclaimed music documentaries as well as The Beverly Hillbillies and The Little Rascals.

Join us as we celebrate this woman-directed SNL skit turned classic comedy. We’ll have rock 'n' roll, a photobooth, and prizes (although none of them will be a gun rack because, let’s face it—you don’t even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What are you gonna do with a gun rack?) There will be no party time more excellent than The MUFF Society’s screening of Wayne’s World.
